2023 UCI CYCLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 
Individual Time Trials - Road 

Managed all the sport and competition elements associated with the individual time trials delivered in Stirling, Scotland. 

  • Main point of contact to the UCI in regards to sport for the nine months prior to competition. 

  • Line manager for venue, route and medal ceremony sports teams during championship times. 

  • Responsible for the all technical guide content and pre event sport and competition planning

  • Event control lead for sport and route management during delivery

TOUR DE FRANCE GRAND DEPART

TDF Hub 2014 Ltd

The TDF Hub 2014 Ltd was the not for profit company put together to oversee and deliver the management plans for the 2014 Grand Depart, in coordination with the organisers of the Tour de France, ASO. 

  • Event safety management plans collation and review

  • Working from within the safety and security team and in coordination with all other teams in the TDF Hub 2014 Ltd

  • Critical crowd management planning

  • Muti agency liaison

2019 ROAD CYCLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Yorkshire 2019 Ltd

Responsible for the management of the multi agency route project to a forecasted global broadcast coverage of 350m people.

 

  • Led project planning and key milestones

  • Managed a £500k budget and associated procurement contracts 

  • Key advisor regarding all sporting points to the UCI and Yorkshire 2019

  • Route development and management

  • Technical documentation including; UCI technical guide planning, key route timings and running orders.

  • Management of route operational staff, CEG Police and NEG motos

  • Lead route safety car

  • Management of circa 1000 route volunteers

 

TOUR DE YORKSHIRE

Welcome to Yorkshire

Operated in a two person project management team on behalf of Welcome to Yorkshire and in partnership with the Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O).

  • Start and finish venue planning

  • Liaison with all stakeholders including; police, local authorities, YAS, mountain rescue, utilities and transport providers 

  • Route development, planning and safety management

  • Lead route safety car (2018 / 2019 editions)

  • Contingency planning

  • Driver, moto and operational staff recruitment and management

Fred Whitton Challenge Steering Group

Delivering the overall project management and event delivery of the Saddleback Fred Whitton Challenge.

Our Experience

MACMILLAN MIGHTY HIKES
Threshold Sports

Worked in 2021 with the team at Threshold Sports to manage operations and logistics for start and finish sites at five events within their Macmillan Mighty Hike Series. 

The Mighty Hike series is Macmillan's flagship event, raising millions for cancer sufferers in the UK.

RIDE LONDON CLASSIQUE
London Marathon Events 

For the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Ride London Classique, we worked with the event project lead from London Marathon Events in a team of three, to plan and deliver start and finish venues for this three stage women's UCI race. 

  • Venue plan creation

  • Sporting advice during venue planning

  • Production lead during delivery of two starts and one finish

  • Supplier management for sites 

RUNNING, CYCLING AND TRIATHLON

Mass Participation Events

Working for the UK’s largest mass participation provider, Human Race, for four years has given us a wealth of experience in project management and operational delivery of amateur sports events.

  • Event Director for the following cycle sportives; The Fred Whitton Challenge, Dragon Ride, L’Etape London, Chiltern 100, Lionheart

  • Finish Line Manager for the London based closed road running events, London Winter Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon. Both 10,000+ runners on the closed roads of central London. 

  • Event Director for the Kingston Breakfast Run and the international Run or Dye 5km series

  • 30+ triathlon event days at Dorney Lake as event director, course manager or swim manager
